Oakland School is a private boarding school for children with learning disabilities. Students are ages 6-14. Some of the disabilities that children who attend the school have include ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. Teachers offer one on one instruction as well as group sessions.

There is a summer program for students. This includes day camps where students can swim and make crafts. Children who stay on campus all year can attend, and it is also open to students who need an extra academic boost while school is not in session.

The school accepts students who are average or above average on grade level.

It also accepts students who are not on target with classes. It does not accept students with behavioral or emotional disorders.
