The Stratton Mountain School, founded in 1972, is a co-educational college preparatory high school located in Stratton, Vermont. The school has produced 36 Olympic athletes. Average class size is 10 students. 70% of teachers hold a master’s degree or higher.
The school’s athletic program focuses on alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, freeskiing, freestyle skiing, and snowboarding, with athletes training at the nearby Stratton Mountain Resort. The student body consists of 120-125 students, with a 4:1 student to teacher ratio. The school covers grades 7-12, and students have the option of attending as day or boarding students.
Tuition for the 2013-2014 school year was $46,200 for full term boarding students, $33,750 for full term day students.
