Vermont Academy is situated in the Southern portion of Vermont in Saxtons River. The private co-ed college prep school is a boarding school as well as a day high school for about 230 students in grades 9 through 12. There are about 50 faculty on staff at VA. Vermont Academy proves that with hands on activities, students learn easily that there is another method to learning than just passive learning. The school offers athletic programs as well as outdoor programs to help engage the students in after school activities. During the winter, students take to the ski hill where students can ski, jump and more. The trails throughout the forests are perfect for running as well as biking. The teams for varsity athletic teams will take to the fields to compete against other teams every week from all over New England.
