Bachman Academy is a co-ed boarding and day school located in McDonald, Tennessee. The school was founded in 1912 and serves students with learning disabilities like ADHD, Dyslexia, and Autism, in grades 6-12. There are about 28 faculty.

The school uses a non-traditional approach to learning; a combination of state required subjects plus hands on, experimental learning and more one on one personalized attention. There are specialized classes to fit each specific learning disability.

Extra-curricular activities are offered through the school as well as the YMCA.

These programs include, but not limited to: cross country, bowling and equine activities. All students are mandated to participate in career-education courses.

It is accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools. Tuition ranges from $20,500 – $49,700 and offers various payment plans.
