Governors School for Science and Mathematics of South Carolina is the all new innovative high school for those academically seeking studies in science and technology as well as engineering and math. 221 students in grades 11-12 attend GGSM.

The school is perfect for juniors and seniors who want to be away from home during their high school years. The school is only one of the 12 residential high schools available in the nation.

The school is well rounded when it comes to education and the emphasis that it places on science and mathematics.

The work is all hands on and offers smaller classrooms. The field trips are extended and the students are mentored thru research. There are over 45 STEM prep courses for students to learn from all customized to research opportunities.
