Girard College is an independent boarding school that is in Philadelphia, PA and sits on 43 acres of land and was founded in 1833 by Stephen Girard. When its doors first opened on January 1, 1848 Girard College was established for orphan or fatherless boys.

Now Girard College is a Co-ed live on campus of academically proficient students from families with limited financial capital. Grades range from 1-12 with all students receiving full scholarships to attend.

Girard College students are required to maintain a specific list of core values which consist of (integrity, respect, self-discipline, responsibility and compassion).
