Union Springs Academy is associated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. It is a boarding school for high school students. The school teaches students to live a life for Christ. It is accredited, and recognizes Saturday as a day of rest.

The school opened in 1921. There are dormitories across the campus as well as a church, farm and orchard. Faculty housing is also located on campus. Students participate in worship services each day as well as Bible instruction. Activities such as rock wall climbing and biking are offered.

There are basketball teams and other sporting events that students can take part in while on campus. Many of the students work while on campus, and they are paid for the work performed. There are minimum requirements for working.
