Millbrook School was founded by Edward Pulling in the early 1930s. He and his wife Lucy, bought a farm in hopes of building a school that would create intelligent and socially responsible students. The original farmhouse, Pulling House, is still a center of activity today.

Millbrook School has seen many changes and advances over the years. It is located on an 800 acre campus in Millbrook NY. The school is a college preparatory school for both boys and girls in grades 9-12. Here the students are challenged academically and enjoy sports, the fine arts and various other activities.

The highlight of Millbrook School is that there is a zoo located on campus. This is the only zoo located in a High School campus. The zoo was established in 1936.
