Emma Willard School is a private boarding school for ninth through twelfth grade girls.

Located in Troy, New York, the school is near the state’s capitol, Albany, and is easily accessed from New York City, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Founded in 1814, the school boasts twenty-three buildings on a campus of 137 acres. Currently, Emma Willard has around 330 students; of those, roughly two-thirds reside on campus.

The school also has a low student-teacher ratio of 6:1 with an average class size of thirteen girls.

There are over 120 academic course offerings as well as a dozen interscholastic sports and a variety of other extracurricular activities. Tuition is just over $51,400, including room and board, while the day program is approximately $31,100. Financial aid is available.
