The American Boychoir School in suburban Princeton, NJ is a private day and boarding school for 4th – 8th grade boys. Founded in Ohio in 1937, it moved to New Jersey in 1950. Acceptance is based on musical ability, maturity level and academic level.
They are accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, National Association of Independent Schools and New Jersey Association of Independent Schools. The students receive education while at school and while touring and performing. The school trains its students for mastery of choral music while simultaneously providing an excellent academic program.
Admission is based on an audition, a school visit and a review of transcripts, test scores and recommendations. Tuition for the day school ranges from $5,750 to $7,250. For boarding, the range is $22,370 to $24,700.
