Shortridge Academy is surrounded by Stonewalls, an archeological site, and has the serenity of a forest setting.
The school includes classrooms, music room, office space, kitchen as well as a dining room.
They also have three newly built sinlge-sex dormitories. The dormitories house between 16 and 20 students in four large rooms which a shared living room and mudroom.
This school accepts teens ages 14 to 18 who may be struggling from low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, excessive computer use/isolation, mild learning differences, and unresolved grief or loss.
They also offer help for those who are struggling academically. In order for students to overcome these obstacles, they may receive as help from educational and mental health professionals.
