Located in the town of Andover, NH, Proctor Academy is a coeducational, private, boarding school offering grades 9-12.

Originally founded in 1848 as Andover Academy, the school was closed and reopened several times before John Proctor opened it as Proctor Academy in 1881.

Situated on three thousand acres and split in half by Andover’s Main Street, the school educates over three hundred students with eighty percent of them attending as boarding students.

The average class has twelve students, offering a low teacher to student ratio.

Accepting less than half of the students that apply, Proctor Academy requires SSAT scores for consideration to be accepted. Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the school offers twelve different AP courses to prepare its students for college.
