Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall is an independent college preparatory day and boarding school nestled in Waltham, Massachusetts. The co-ed, non-denominational school was created in 1971 when Chauncy Hall, an all boys school founded in 1828, merged with all-girl Chapel Hill.
There are 175 students at the NAIS and TABS affiliated school. The average class size is ten students, which is lower than the national average for boarding schools. They offer a wide range of arts and athletics in a challenging and personalized academic setting. Students are given weekly progress reports from their teachers, and students base their teaching style around the students strengths.
The school has a 39 acre campus, located just ten miles from Boston. As of 2013, tuition is $46,000 for boarding students, and $33,900 for day students, with a 57% acceptance rate into the boarding program.
