St. Timothy’s School is a private, all girls Episcopal boarding high school, founded in 1832. St. Timothy’s is located in Stevenson, Maryland, which is less than one hour from Washington D.C. Around 140 student are enrolled with 20 faculty.

St. Timothy’s holds the following accreditation: IB World School, NCGS, NAIS, TABS, AIMS, and NAES. The school offers a challenging and rewarding education for its students, and has won awards for some of its education programs. The most widely recognized program offered by St. Timothy’s is the Global Immersion Program which not only teaches global understanding, but actually takes students around the world to study.

The school supports a wide variety of sports for its students, but the St. Timothy’s basketball program is steeped in tradition. Among other things, St. Timothy’s carries on the oldest ongoing yearly basketball game between women’s schools, playing the team from the Bryn Mawr School each year.
