Garrison Forrest School was founded in 1910 in Owings Mill, Maryland. It is a private school associated with the Maryland Independent Schools and even offers boarding for it older students. Garrison Forest School is strictly an all girls school with no boys admitted.
The school divides it’s grades into sections of preschool, lower school, middle school, and upper school. During an average school year there are approximately 60 boarding students from grades 8 through 12. It is accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland School and Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. All students take part in the athletic program.
The athletic team name of the school are the Garrison Grizzlies with favored colors of navy blue and light blue. Garrison’s athletic legacy remains intact thanks to students like Beth Botsford who won an Olympic Gold while attending there.
