Maine Central Institute was founded in 1866 in Pittsfield, Maine. With 450 students, its student body is diverse and multicultural. The school has rigorous and comprehensive educational programs that challenge and empower students in grades 9-12. Students will not only acquire the education and skills needed for successful careers, but they will also learn how to become a global citizen. Maine Central Institute prides itself on the small class sizes and the individual attention given to each student. With the strong support of the town of Pittsfield, the sense of community working together helps to provide a safe and caring atmosphere for those students that are away from home.
