At International Leadership of Texas, leadership and culture is incorporated in the classroom for all students. Students are given leadership roles teaching the concept of others before self. Each year, students put their dedication into action in a community service project and spend time learning about 12 important character traits that foster a good leader. These traits empower students to overcome challenges and create a better, and more productive society in which to live and work.
We are proud of our international initiatives as we advance our goal of achieving distinction in globalizing our young students. At ILTexas, we have a wide array of international programs for students, teachers, and staff.
We have an international private high school equipped with dormitories within our ILTexas Charter system – the International Leadership of Texas (ILTexas) Private High School Garland. Our objective is for our international students to earn a high quality American high school diploma and to prepare them to attend college in the United States. Our international students come from all over the world.
The international private school students and the public charter school students study the same curriculum in the same classrooms. The result provides a diverse, intercultural environment, in which both American and international students can learn and grow together, forming lifelong bonds and global friendships.
Mission
The mission of ILTexas is to prepare students for exceptional leadership roles in the international community by emphasizing servant leadership, mastering the English, Spanish, and Chinese languages, and strengthening the mind, body, and character.
