Montverde Academy, located in suburban Montverde, Florida, is a coeducational private college preparatory boarding and day school. It was founded in 1912, and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Florida Council of Independent Schools.

The curriculum intends to accelerate learning past the Florida Department of Education’s Sunshine State standards. Athletics are emphasized, with 42 students in eight years earning scholarships to NCAA qualifying schools. The mascot is the eagle.

Boarding is available for seventh through twelfth grade, and the day school is available for grades PK3-12.

Tuition for boarding is $42,000, and the day school ranges from $9,527 to $11,812. While the school provides a challenging education, it has not appeared on top boarding school lists published in magazines.
