Culver Academies: Culver Academy is located in Culver and is located 2.5 hours from both Indianapolis and Chicago. With over 119 years in business and a school enrollment size of 819 students. The school sits on 1700 acres of land and offers a wide variety of athletic facilities for a number of sports including: Hockey, Crew, Diving, Swimming, Fencing, Football, Soccer, Softball , Tennis and more. They also have a great fine arts program that offers anything from drawing, painting and ceramics to dance, theater and band. The school houses 90 faculty teachers with baccaulareates and PhD degrees.
La Lumiere School: La Lumiere is located in La Porte and is open to grades 9-12. It only enrolls 220 students a year. The beautiful scenic campus is located five-miles from Lake Michigan. The school offers small class sizes with an average size of 11 students and teacher to student ratio of eight to one. Students get the chance to interact with a wide variety of other children. Students come from all over the state and provides exemplary college prep programs. The school does have a Catholic religious affiliation which may be a pro or con depending on which way you look at it.
